Meditations of this week...
God looks at the heart of man. You can't fool Him with good outward appearances, what He will judge severely is the state of your heart, which, eventually will manifest itself in outward appearances and actions. Your sin will find you out. Make sure that what you build will stand the test of fire.
If you work for God truly then you will desire to make your heart right with Him, you will seek to be pure from the inside out. Purity will flow from a pure heart. If you seek your reward from Him, He rewards a pure heart, not so much a life of good deeds. It won't mean anything to Him if the state of your heart is not right.
Think about it. Don't say He never told you. Don't say you were tempted. You fall into what you are most inclined to do, so don't add fuel to your inclinations. Make them foreign to you. 'Keep running after God, then look right and left and see who's there in that race, and choose from that pool.'
Sincerely.

Gosh, it's, amazing, wierd, fun, scary, just to see how people you've grown with and shared memories with, now each one following their own path through the forest. where were we, not too long ago. what has changed? how did we get to where we are now? how did we become who we are now??
i remember first starting at sgv, my home church, what, maybe a little over two years ago. i've learned so much from my friends there. i admire how much they love to learn, to go out of their comfort zone to experience something new, to experience God. how they love their friends, and yet the love for their friends doesn't keep them from following where God leads.
God, you have said 'I am the Lord your God...open wide your mouth, and I will fill it...But my people would not listen to me...would not submit to me...So i gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices...If my people would but listen to me...(Ps.81:11-13)

How many times I found it so difficult to listen to you! how many times I had no peace because I did not listen to you!

And so it begins...

Hi. Welcome to my site.
For now I think my audience will just consist of me, myself, and I. Not such bad company I think. And great critics they are too. Hmm, maybe. I sit at one of my getaway spots, which location I will not disclose for then it ceases to serve its purpose. But my friends are not fooled, I am no secretive person. My hideout is known to many to be the beautiful Laguna Niguel. But enough rambling. Let my journaling begin...
